Owner
Rhon, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, has devoted over three decades of his life to mastering the art of cosmetology. With a passion that burns brighter with each passing year, he graduated at the top of his class from Jewel’s Beauty Academy in 1982, eager to share his talent with the world. His unique style and superb marketing skills quickly earned him a reputation in Baltimore and beyond, even catching the attention of the legendary Patti LaBelle!
In 2001, Rhon’s journey took him to York, PA, where he joined Fern’s Total Beauty and continued to hone his craft. His dedication to his client’s well-being and satisfaction shone through in his tension-releasing shampoo and scalp massage technique, which became a signature part of his work.
As a master stylist and seasoned manager, Rhon’s dream of owning his salon became a reality in 2001 with the opening of Friends the Salon. With a heart full of passion and a commitment to excellence, Rhon has spent the past two decades building a thriving business in South Central Pennsylvania.
With Friends Salon 24, Rhon is not just building a successful business, but a legacy of passion, dedication, and care for the beauty industry. As a certified instructor, he envisions expanding the brand to a cosmetology school, where he can share his expertise and inspire others to follow in his footsteps. Through mentorship and training programs, Rhon is committed to empowering the next generation of professionals to excel in salon management, styling techniques, and client relationships. His ultimate goal is to create a ripple effect of excellence and passion in the industry, leaving a lasting impact that extends far beyond his own salon.
Zulieka
Stylist
Zulieka a.k.a. Lieka is a very humble person, a good listener, a dear friend, and yet still confident in her anbilities. Some of her clients are still with her after 35 years in the industry. Zulieka has earned the status of master stylist because she goes beyond the call of duty when it comes to beautifying her clients; she transforms her guests with the numerous techniques she has mastered.
Lieka was born in York, PA and is one oof central Pennsylvania’s top stylists. Zulieka is a stylist that cannot be replicated, she features hair weaving, silk press, short cuts, razor cuts, vibrant true to swatch color. Book with Zulieka and your bases are covered, you can’t go wrong.

Yolonda
Stylist
Yolonda, a.k.a. Peaches, blends her passion of the craft with her concern for her customers to reveal their inner beauty to the world. In 2001, she obtained her cosmetology license. She has been a traveling hairdresser ever since, taking care of clients who are stranded at home or don’t have time to visit the salon. Many hair kinds and styles have been used by her in her work. With natural hair, loc care, relaxers, extensions, micro links, tape-ins, custom units, lace frontals, and hair weaving, she has years of experience. She has acquired abilities to improve her client’s skin thanks to her license. She is skilled at performing facials, removing milia and blackheads from the face, and applying makeup. Her methods remove acne and discoloration and leave the skin feeling revitalized and refreshed. As she joins Friends Salon 24 in 2023, she is able to concentrate, even more, on each customer with the help of the entire team. She is eager to establish relationships with her clients so that she can use her abilities to alter lives.
Jody
Loctician & Braider
Jody, born in St. Thomas, Jamaica, started braiding at the age of 18. For Jody, braiding hair is like breathing and though she braids effortlessly it is also her passion. When asked, Jody said the first thing she likes about styling hair is that she loves to see clients happy from the inside out.
Her specialty is Braiding and Locs; specializing in loc maintenance, loc repair, loc extensions, instant Locs, and starter locs. Jody has an arsenal of braiding techniques featuring knotless braids, box braids, straight-back, cornrows, crochet, feed-in braids and more. If you have a style in mind Jody can bring it to life. Clients say, “She braids better than Africans.”

Tamyra, also known as Pretty, was born in Buffalo, NY, and has always had a passion for art. However, it was her fascination with nails and the various styles her clients desired that led her to fall in love with the world of nail care. With over 6 years of experience as a nail technician, Tamyra is both skilled and passionate about her craft. She is the founder of Pretty Herr Nailz, a salon that offers a range of services including shaping and custom designs such as 3D, encapsulated nails, aquarium nails, and nail art featuring characters, marble, bloom, and more. From short to 4XL, Tamyra excels at creating stunning French tips. One of her unique offerings is “Junk Nails,” a signature style that sets her apart from others in the industry. Alongside nail care, she also offers Gel pedicures and acrylic toe pedicures to match any full-set her clients desire. Tamyra’s long-term goal is to establish an academy for nails and a boutique warehouse for both men and women, where they can shop, relax, and indulge in a range of beauty treatments such as hair care, skincare, body sculpting, massage therapy, makeup, and more. Her dedication lies in creating a haven for her clients, where they can unwind and enjoy top-notch service.

She offers herself as a floating stylist where through mobile services to hospitals, nursing homes, detention centers, hotels, and resorts, she ensures that everyone can access her transformative touch.

Hailing from Baltimore, MD, Trenton started the hair journey working for an upscale top-of-the-line Paul Mitchell focus salon. With 36 years in the industry, Trenton is well-versed in aesthetics and massage therapy. The world-famous temple massage, loved by all, is his specialty.
Trenton has a well-rounded knowledge of what the salon/spa experience services feels like. Therefore, when he greets you, your journey into the relaxing environment eases you into a royal pampering.
